And so she hiked, to heal or hide from grief…until one day nature sent her a love letter in the shape of a heart and Lucy’s Heart Rocks Project was born.

The Story of Lucy’s Heart Rocks

Lucy was a little girl who matched her name.

She was sunshine and rainbows and horses and the front seat of a roller coaster kind of a girl.
She was cinnamon toast and glitter nail polish with a style of her own that found it’s place somewhere between boho and rubber boots.
  • She was the baby sister to two older brothers.
  • She was the only granddaughter to 2 grandparents.
  • She was the only daughter to her mom Susan Page.
Lucy left the world tragically too soon 1 week after her 7th birthday.
ONE of her gifts to the world was that of LIFE to 7 organ recipients. Despite her beautiful gift of life, which brought Susan much peace, the new and unfamiliar darkness that surrounded her was immense and felt like a heavy musty mildew sky. The only space Susan could find peace was in the outdoors close to the stars in which she felt Lucy spoke to her. While the stars slept, Susan found solace in hiking miles upon miles all the while attempting to sort out her heart and her mind.

On a particular day of heavy posture breaking grief, Susan looked down at the red dirt trail and saw the most perfectly formed rock in the shape of a heart. She picked it up; smiled big and looked up at the heavens and said, “I know you’re still with me girl”.

The secret language of love between mother and daughter had begun again. While not together physically, Susan was able to see Lucy’s love in each heart rock that found her.

Years and years passed, and Lucy’s Heart Rock Collection grew.

One day the Spirit spoke to Susan and then she knew these heart rocks belonged to Mother Nature and the world and that they should be passed on with love so that others could feel the immense joy and peace that Lucy’s Heart Rocks brought to her.

While on this long and dirty journey of grief, Susan learned to find peace, solace and comfort in nature and so she set out to share her little secret with others.

If this heart rock has found its way to YOU; it has been sent with a mother’s enduring love for her daughter and as a reminder that the lack of physical presence does not mean the end of that love.

May you find peace and know that nature offers gifts of comfort and love when we seek it.

Get outside, feel the air, touch the sky and open your heart to the secret language of love and comfort that the universe is holding for you.
